Clinical Trial • Safety Assessment

Preclinical Safety Assessment of an Ayurvedic Dentifrice: Acute and 28-Day Oral Toxicity Studies in Wistar Albino Rats.

The study established a NOAEL (no-observed-adverse-effect level) of 1000 mg/kg/day, meaning even at that high daily exposure, no harmful effects were detected in this model.

This published safety assessment concludes Edinora can be considered safe for oral use.

Study • Clinical Pilot Study

Evaluating the Effectiveness of Herbal Toothpaste Containing 18 Herbal Ingredients on Dental Plaque and Gingival Health: A Pilot Study

This clinical pilot study compared Edinora herbal toothpaste with a leading conventional toothpaste among 60 participants over 4 weeks. It found that both groups showed a clear reduction in dental plaque and improvement in gum health, with statistically significant results from baseline to the end of the study.

Importantly, Edinora performed equally effective as the conventional toothpaste in controlling plaque and maintaining healthy gums.

Participants used the toothpaste twice daily, and improvements were consistently observed within just a few weeks.

The study concludes that Edinora’s herbal formulation can effectively support daily oral hygiene and gum health, offering a natural alternative without compromising performance.

Study • In-Vitro Analysis

Proprietary Ayurvedic Medicine for Comprehensive Oral Care: An In-Vitro Analysis of Cytotoxicity and Wound Healing Potential

The test sample which is a combination of proprietary ayurvedic components showed higher IC50 (28.19 mg/ml) than the control sample (7.13 mg/ml). In addition, there was a significant difference in in-vitro wound scratch assay with progressive cell migration and early wound closure with test samples.

This in-vitro study suggests that proprietary dentrifices provide a natural and environmentally favorable alternative to conventional toothpastes which are free of synthetic fragrances, preservatives, and artificial sweeteners.
